Cheap Vietnam War Weapons

Welcome to the Veitnam War Weapons page.  Here you will find a nice selections of Vietnam War Weapons, primarily edged weapons such as knives and bayonets.

During vietnam several types of knives and bayonets were used including: Gerber Mark II, Randall no. 1, Ka-Bar (bowie style), M1 Bayonet, M6 Bayonet, and the M7 bayonet.  During the Vietnam War, US Marine's were still authorized limited issues of Ka-Bar fixed blade combat knives, originally issued during WWII. All US Marine & US Army Infantrymen (Grunts) were, in the beginning of the war, issued bayonets for their M-14 rifles, and M-16 rifles.

As far as the Bowie style Ka-Bar knive, ince the 1960s, Bowie knives with sawteeth machined into the back side of the blade appeared inspired by the Air Force survival knife NSN: 7340-00-098-4327. The sawteeth were intended to cut through the Plexiglas canopy of a downed aircraft. During the Vietnam war the US Army issued them to helicopter crews for the same purpose.

It should also be noted that during the Vietnam War some production runs of the Gerber Mark II had a 5-degree offset between the blade and the grip in order to ride in the sheath more comfortably.  So, if you are in to collecting knives then you can't beat the discount prices offered in these auctions.
